Reason for being
"The Beautiful chariots of kings wear out, this body too undergoes decay. But the Dhamma of the good does not decay: So the good proclaim along with the good"
-The Buddha on Old Age, Illness, and Death
What started as shadow work alchemised into a form of connection through fragrance, love and beauty.
For over a decade, I clouded myself with avoidance patterns, judgement and an inability to truly live with intention; this forced me to create space for a regimented self-care routine, leading me on a journey to understanding the link between traumatic triggers, scent, sensation, sensuality & holistic living through the lens of my ancestors; from diet to mind.
I began making fragrances as a way to ground myself in times of upheaval and manic dissociation before studying organic cosmetic formulation. With a love for Ayurvedic Medicine, Psychology & Formulation, I dove into the world of herbalism, mysticism and alchemy, which I bound together to create what is now Bunny’s Formula.
Scent for healing & holistic living
Every product in my range, from the fragrances to body & hair oils, is inspired by Ayurvedic roots. Every fragrance focuses on the mind, body & spirit connection that you are looking for.
The packaging is sourced from local Australian brands that support forestry and ethical practices. Ingredients are ethically harvested where they may grow in abundance. Not all plants thrive in our local vicinity, as it can harm the local wildlife, and there's a benefit in trading with lands that have certain ingredients in abundance.
All my suppliers source their raw ingredients locally where possible, but where it's not possible, the ingredients are sourced from small businesses overseas that give back to their communities in and keep traditional practices alive, while maintaining sustainable practices that care for the environment.
Eventually, I'd love Bunny's Formula to become a safe space for those who are stuck in their shadows and/or recovering from the weight on their shoulders, to build skills and hold the duality of learning to love life whilst living alongside the struggles endured.
I'm grateful & honoured to be able to produce my creations on what always was & always will be Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to Indigenous Elders past, present & emerging, acknowledging all First Nations people across the land.
